Description
In "Children's Literature in the Elementary School" Charlotte S. Huck advances the view that exposing children to good quality children's literature is a vital element of successful school reading programs. Books for children should be 1) works of high literary quality, 2) useful in the curriculum, and 3) appeal to the young reader.
