Description
This is a story about something that happened long ago when your grandfather was a child. When they finally manage to pull her out of London, unintentionally taking along Uncle Andrew and a coachman with his horse, they find themselves in what will come to be known as the land of Narnia. In the first book of The Chronicles of Narnia, C. S. Lewis shows us how it all began--the glorious birth of the land of Narnia at the hand of its unforgettable King. it is followed by six more books that collectively tell the history of a world that has become as real as our own. Polly and Digory meet and become friends one cold, wet summer in London. Their lives change forever when they discover magical rings and use them to travel to different worlds. They are present when Narnia is sung into being by Aslan, and soon find out that this is no ordinary place. . . .
