Description
A rhetoric-reader designed for a range of English courses. The rhetoric chapters sequentially integrate thinking into both the reading process and the writing process, and feature journal writing and writing from sources in addition to essay writing. There are approximately 90 readings, including essays, investigative reporting, narratives and occassional poems. The readings range in sophistication and difficulty within each thematic group. The text contains information on revising and editing but is not a handbook. Using the Internet as a serious research tool is complemented by other activities such as author fan clubs and relevant listservs with suggestions on using these resources.
