In his entire life he was a close fol lower of Him who came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, for Dr. Green throughout the years of an active manhood devoted his life to his fellow men. It seemed his chief object to disseminate knowledge that people might make the best use of their powers and gain the most that life offers in true enjoyment, happiness and character development. He regarded no interest which had bearing upon the welfare of a fellow creature as too unimportant to claim his attention.
