By 丁致良本書有出紙本請洽 秀才書屋購買。紙本與電子書的差異在於紙本較易閱讀、因為大量印製較便宜，但電子書版本較新。本書出版至今已經快 20 年了。第一版顯然在台灣出版界造成不小的震撼。各家爭相出版離散數學，如同過去大家爭養鰻魚、蓋晶圓廠一般。當年市面上根本沒有離散數學的中文書。出版社認為這種數學的書冷門沒有人有興趣。雖然我並不鼓勵同學用中文書，但是看到很多同學無法閱讀原文書，覺得寫一本離散數學的中文輔助教材是有必要的。沒想到本書第一版竟然成為第一本台灣人用中文寫的離散數學。這次再版是全部重新排版，我們致力於去蕪存菁。本書中專有名詞或人名、地名的翻譯，若非中文中常見或者有特別值得採用的翻譯名詞，則依照吳大猷先生的原則，直接採用原文。坊間常見的數學名詞翻譯錯誤處，如部份排序及骨架樹，我則提出特別的糾正。此次再版也以更嚴格的要求修正了我們先前隨手寫下的一些名詞。
