Based on morphology rather than pathogenesis, each disease is illustrated with approximately 5 color photomicrographs and is depicted within the framework of an algorithmic classification based on location, pattern and cell type. This important collection of images represents material from the last several decades up to newly collected slides, including many from cases of a more obscure nature. Most images have been photographed on a Zeiss Axiophot Photomicroscope, ensuring superior optics. Clinical photographs are liberally included, offering informative material for non-dermatologist pathologists.
