In cerebralpalsy, sensorimotor experience hasbeen abnormal from the beginning.The child can make use of his abnormalsensorimotor patterns only towhatever degree he may be involved.In cerebral palsy, normal maturationis interrupted and an insufficientlydeveloped postural reflex mechanismand prolonged retention of primitivetotal patterns are manifested.
