Since the publication of the second edition of Handbook of the Diagnosis and Treatment of DSM-IV Personality Disorders, much has changed regarding the conception, diagnosis, and treatment of personality disorders. With the release of the DSM-5, this new schema will become the official diagnostic criteria for psychiatrists, psychotherapists, and other mental health professionals. Like the previous editions, this new one will provide an understandable and easily implemented protocol for each of the DSM-5 personality disorders.
