In "Sisters' Stories," works by Maya Angelou, Ntozake Shange, Audre Lorde, and other outstanding writers capture the varied experiences of black women. "Brothers' Lives" salutes the seminal works on black manhood by writers like Richard Wright, August Wilson, and Ernest Gaines.
