Twelve-year-old Isabel decides that this summer she's not just going to lie around the Oakland public pool with her cousins -- she's going to start a business. Before long, she's doing yard work for a woman who lives in a fancy neighborhood near Oakland. At first it's okay; the pay is great, after all. Even worse, they decide to hunt a cougar supposedly living in the canyons nearby. Soon the whole neighborhood is in an uproar, demanding the cougar's death.
