This report introduces the research project Youth-Led Learning: Local connections and global citizenship which aims to provide a systematic evidence base for the design of sustainable, youth-led programs that promote Australian young people's global learning. Drawing on the first year of the Youth-Led Learning project, a partnership between the Youth Research Centre, RMIT University and Plan International Australia, the report describes the establishment, implementation and key features of the Global Connections program, including its focus on youth-led processes. It provides a summary of recent literature young people's enactment of citizenship; global learning and citizenship education.
