This directory was developed to provide detailed, accurate, and up-to-date information on all school psychology graduate programs in the United States. It contains summary information for 203 of the 231 institutions providing school psychology graduate education. Institutions that chose not to be included in the directory are listed in the appendix. Chapter 1 explains how programs were identified, the development of the questionnaire, the surveying program, and the summarization and computer entry of program characteristics. Chapter 2 presents a descriptive summary of school psychology graduate education. It focuses on levels/degrees/hours; core requirements by program level and practicum/internship; accreditation; enrollment and graduation data and demographics; faculty; admission requirements; tuition costs and student support; and trends in school psychology graduate education. Chapter 3 explains how to use the directory. In the directory itself, the graduate school psychology programs are listed alphabetically by state. The summary for each of the training programs includes the following information: address and telephone number, program levels and degrees awarded, department and college, accreditation, contact person, primary faculty, enrollment for 1986-1987, graduates for 1986-1987, admission requirements, undergraduate courses and major, tuition, financial support, practicum and internship requirements, program philosophy, and program development. Under each category in the directory, information is provided for each of the program levels (Master's, Specialist, Doctoral) offered by the training program. Relevant materials are appended. (NB)
