This book takes an in-depth look at the advances in Reno medicine during the last half of the twentieth century. Through interviews with prominent Reno physicians who came to the city after World War II, the author probes the motivations that prompted these physicians to study medicine and then choose Reno as the place to practice. The Cutting Edge also tells the story of the changes that took place in Reno since these doctors arrived, and how its medicine stayed on the cutting edge. This book is the fourth in the series, "The Golden Age of Medicine in Nevada."
