Procida is a tiny island in the bay of Naples, Italy. Less known than the neighboring isle of Capri, it is not less beautiful or welcoming. However, its intrinsic beauty poses a problem as well: the island is far too small to welcome a massive influx of tourists who would, inevitably, alter its nature. The book collects the perspectives of key figures on the island engaged in promoting a more sustainable, less invasive tourism, such as experiential-study programs aimed at national and international university students.
