A modified version of the survey instrument utilized in the national study was used for this investigation. Additional items were added to address gaps pointed out by the national respondents as well as to add clarification to areas that warranted further investigation. The resulting instrument was then reviewed by a group of recently retired executive directors to provide further refinement.
