Teacher burnout is a growing problem within public school systems. Given that teachers must face a classroom full of students everyday, it is critical that a plan is put into place to prevent and assist with the daily stress of teachers, in which, often leads to teacher burnout (Wood & McCarthy, 2002). The purpose of this professional development plan is to help teachers develop and apply the knowledge necessary to improve their role essential for providing an education that promotes lifelong learning, ensures motivation, and encourages a positive outlook on learning. The intended outcomes of this professional development plan are defined in terms of improved educator practice and long-term goals that focuses on student outcomes.
