The Narrative Approach is a creative and highly effective tool for enhancing the learning and remembering of the Japanese Kanji. The book is aimed at the students who wish to master the meaning of the kanji using their imaginative memory. The book contains 176 radical entries; each one is accompanied by a narrative writing. The text presents three different keywords for each selected radical; an activity, an animal and a place. They are easy to remember as the book uses the connection mnemonic technique (New information is connected to knowledge already known). Then, it's up to the students, to create new memorable stories using the keywords of their choice. This book fills the need for engaging yet effective kanji-learning material that can be used from intermediate through advanced levels.
