As the south-east trade-wind generally prevails to the northward of the 25th parallel of south latitude, blowing most steadily from May to November, the quickest mode of visiting the islands in succession from our Australian colonies is to take advantage of the frequent westerly winds a few degrees to the southward of the parallel above mentioned.
