The author is a WWII and Korean War veteran who wrote memories of war time to hand down to children and grandchildren. His daughter put his thoughts together with photographs as a gift to her father to cherish his service and capture his thoughts into story form. During uncertain times of war, these memories represent what millions of men and women encountered as they served our country to fight for our freedom. These thoughts tell the human side of sacrifice and many close calls with injury or death. Thousands died so we could live to tell the story through the eyes of those still living that were there during war.
