Form BC - 30 was used for reporting operations of merchant wholesalers and manufacturers' sales branches and offices primarily engaged in selling consumer goods such as foods, clothing, jewelry, Form BC - 31 was used for enumerating merchant whole salers and manufacturers' sales offices engaged in selling industrial, commercial, or professional goods such as electrical goods, machinery, beauty supplies, etc.; Form BC - 32 was a specialized questionnaire used for reporting operations of petroleum bulk stations and distributing terminals; Form BC - 33 was designed for enumerating agents and brokers; and Form BC - 34 was used for reporting activities of assemblers and marketers of farm products. The five forms Were identical with respect to the basic information presented in this volume on num ber of establishments, sales, personnel, pay roll, and inventories. However, they differed materially in the amount and kind of detail called for on sales by commod ity line, expenses, cash and credit business, truck's, etc. Information on these subjects, for Wholesale Trade, is presented in volume IV.
