Description
Sally Chisum, niece of the late John Chisum of New Mexico, sells one thousand head of cattle to the Indian reservation in Fort Smith. Nine drovers off the reservation agree to drive the herd from New Mexico to Arkansas. At the midpoint, just south of the Red River, the nine drovers are attacked and killed, and the herd is stolen. Judge Parker assigns Marshal Jack Youngblood and his brother, Emmet, the daunting task of tracking down the men responsible for the gruesome crime and bringing them to justice. The brothers recruit the services of veteran army scout Red Moon to track for them. As they cross Mount Sunflower, they are ambushed by a petty thief out to steal their horses. Jack kills the thief, but not before Red Moon is severely wounded. Faced with no choice, the brothers ride into Colorado to the small town of Lamar to seek a doctor for Red Moon. After he receives medical care, the brothers decide to leave Red Moon to travel to Denver to secure the services of a new scout from an Army outpost. The brothers receive the surprise of a lifetime when Two Hawks, their old adversary and one of the most wanted men in the country, comes out of hiding and volunteers for the assignment.
