"A Legacy of Faith" is a compiled writing of the last few years of Linda's life. There is a blend in this book of her journal entries during the time of ALS, Debbie's observations, and a caregiver's description involved in her daily care along with others who offered support to Linda while learning to cope with ALS. Linda's trust in God and her belief in reward in Heaven is the one thing that made any real sense to her. Bible verses continually came to mind which gave comfort. Debbie chronicled Linda's decline in health, with compassion, trying to depict her with her sense of humor despite grave obstacles. Linda's faith was expressed in her words, “I don’t look into mirrors very often these days but when I do, the reflections has changed…There is, however, one thing that remains the same, my eyes…When I look in the mirror, I see the same eyes I saw when I was a terrified little girl looking in the mirror. I see the eternal me and there is no fear, there is total peace. I know who I am, I know where I will spend eternity and so can you.” "A Legacy of Faith" is a graphic description of the ravages of ALS and recounts the life changes that affected Linda's entire family. Yet, despite her death, the story strikes a positive chord which the reader will not soon forget.
