In Borderland, following an economy gone seriously south, the past for an LAPD pilot finally catches up to her at the worst time and place to try to survive it. With the military and National Guard tied down in two wars overseas and after several of her fellow arresting officers are killed, she turns for help to her boyfriend, a security consultant who's constantly going up against criminals who threaten his American firms. Their pursuit takes them into an unfamiliar world of completely upended neighborhoods with thriving Black Markets beyond the law and where they keep realizing that nothing is working out as expected either. In Grounded, on foot and trying to stay alive in the woods of Big Sur and Southern California, a young, mismatched San Francisco couple head for Los Angeles and an outside chance to get their lives back. Then surviving in a wilderness terrain that neither of them has ever experienced before generates more problems, along with trigger-happy hunters, acute hypothermia, deadly riptides and old mining camp graveyards. Even while trying to deal with all of that, they're still having the time of their life. But that makes no difference to who's following from San Francisco and what's waiting for them in Los Angeles. In Down Track, a deadly and deliberate train derailment along the coast triggers a major escalation of the conflict with a U.S. Special Agent for control of the yards and the rails beyond. More than a runaway train with almost no loss of life, this Agent's working in a world that operates on a more lethal level with derailments followed by freight and passenger train robberies, dual Gatling gun protected currency shipments, multi-million dollar extortions and the constant threat of ambush from a formidable criminal boss and the crew that works for him.
