An Unbreakable Bond By: Mikael Johnson An Unbreakable Bond is based on the true life events Mikael Johnson and his fiancée (now wife of over thirty years) went through while he was serving in the United States Navy at the height of the Cold War from 1980 through 1984. It takes the reader from the time they first met, their initial engagement, a very mysterious two-year separation, and their reunion on his discharge. It focuses on how the lack of communications between a young couple can lead to an unpleasant breakup, a possible Soviet espionage case, and how true love, patience, and understanding brought them back together. Though fiction, this book was written using as much reality as possible. Readers will see the difficulties faced every day by those who serve our country and those they leave behind. This book also shows how important establishing and maintaining an open line of communication is. However small or insignificant you believe something to be in your life may have a large and detrimental impact on your future as a couple.
