For when the citadels of time have fallen, thou shalt know blood is more valuable than gold.” This is an epic fantasy set across untamed mythical lands of magick, superstition and witches, the world's first and oldest vampire looms out of his isolation and seeks passage to the place of his origins. It is a complex, enigmatic and elaborate story spanning across a large fascinating and ancient world. The struggle of humans, dueling nobles and star-crossed lovers, cast in a perilous and unpredictable lands is woven into a milieu of greater events, divining intricate and often stunning sagas. Humans are haunted by fear of the unknown and by their own fragility due to the existence of both witches and vampires. A rich tapestry of nature's beauty and brooding emotion often comes to bear in vivid details, in conjunction with various unfolding scenes of political intrigue culminating amid dark chaos that seems paradoxical and seductive.
