Now as a Christian when God looks at you, He sees that perfect obedient life of Jesus Christ and loves you ONLY according to that. And when God looks upon your sin, though He is grieved by it, He loves you as if you had no sin at all; as if you were Jesus Christ himself. This is the gospel. The life of Christ is our righteousness, the death of Christ is our salvation, and the power of the resurrection is the power that is alive in us to fight Satan and sin. This is the gospel, this is love; this is the gospel, this is true freedom.
