Description

WARNING: This is not the actual book The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. Do not buy this Review if you are looking for a full copy of this great book. Our review of Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist discusses the primary theme of the novel which is Personal Legend. It is explained in the book that once someone determines what he or she wishes to accomplish in life, that becomes the person's Personal Legend, and from that point forward, the universe guides each person in the correct direction. This review discusses that theme in detail, while pointing out major eye-openers from the book, such as the importance of retaining the ability to revise a first impression. Come along for the ride as Santiago falls in love with Fatima, who teaches him that love doesn't interfere with one's Personal Legend, it becomes a driving force toward it. To round things out, we give you an alternative outcome to consider for The Alchemist, one that suggests the perspectives of other characters, rather than seeing everything through Santiago.Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist is a Portuguese novel published in 1988. It was later translated into and published in English, and to date, it is available in over 50 different languages. This allegorical novel features Santiago, a shepherd, on his trek to Egypt to find treasure that he saw in a dream. Before that, however, Santiago meets Melchizedek, the king of Salem, who tells Santiago of the Personal Legend attributed to each person. This modern classic isn't overly simplistic, which is where this review is of great service. We have broken everything down for you, from the importance of the setting to a detailed analysis of the novel's most memorable scene.
