IntroductionA resolution calling for a Constitutional Amendment to accomplish Nationwide Prohibition was introduced in Congress and passed by both Houses in December 1917. On October 28, 1919, Congress passed the Volstead Act, the popular name for the National Prohibition Act, over President Woodrow Wilson's Veto. Supporters of the Amendment soon became confident that it would not be Repealed. Prohibition began on January 16, 1920, when the Eighteenth Amendment went into effect. Bonnie and Clyde Gang were a notorious group of Outlaws that gave the Law enforcement Officers hell robbing Banks and killing anyone that got in their way from 1932, until their demise in 1934. Al Capone and George 'Bug's' Moran were a Warring Gangster group, that competed against each other in Chicago; until Al Capone wiped out Moran's Gang, better know as Saint Valentine Day Massacre. However, Moran continued petty crimes until his death in Prison. Al Capone fate was death in his home. John Dillinger was a infamous American Gangster in the Depression-era, who operated with a group of men known by some as the Dillinger Gang or Terror Gang that were, among other activities, accused of robbing 24 Banks and four Police Stations. As Dillinger exited the Biograph Theater. FBI Agents were waiting for him. He pulled a weapon and attempted to flee but was shot four times and killed.Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd was an American bank robber. He operated in the Midwest and West South Central States, and his criminal exploits gained widespread Press coverage in the 1930s. Like most other prominent Outlaws of that era, he was killed by Policemen. Baby Face Nelson entered into a partnership with John Dillinger, helping him escape from Prison and was later labeled along with the remaining Gang members as public enemy number one. He killed more FBI Agents in the line of duty than any other person. Nelson was killed by FBI Agents. Therlee Gipson
