In this bedtime story, the chicks discovered a flag pole in the barn yard and decided to make an American flag. The Chick Mall West was celebrating its grand opening with a red, white, and blue fabric sale, so the chicks and their coop friends planned to head for the mall at first crow. After a pillow fight, the chicks settled in for the night. Charly sounded off the morning crow, then they dashed off to buy the material for their flag. They paid twenty bugs for the fabric, thread, and the flag pattern. On their way home they rehearsed the pledge of allegiance to the flag, and back at the coop they talked about some flag facts while they made their very own. Finally their flag was completed, so up the pole it went, and the chicks and their coop pets recited the pledge of allegiance to the flag of the United States of America.
