David Moessner here proposes a solution to the puzzle by carefully relating Jesus' sayings in the section (narrated speech) to the journey (the enigmatic plot). In addition, by using the intertextuality of Jesus' journey with Israel's dynamic exodus story, Moessner unlocks the mystery of Luke's portrait of Jesus.
