Atmosphere containment is waning with no hope of rescuing the occupants because the space shuttle vehicle is grounded and Russians cannot rescue them before the air runs out.The actors in this drama include the President of the United States, a power-hungry Secretary of Defense, Green Peace workers, and a cast of politically astute characters. Can the ever-ready and innovative Mike Sherridin and his close friend and colleague, retired engineer Jim Carverneau, fight both the elements of space and time as well as the complex political machinations that stand in the way of rescuing the stranded astronauts? This is a wild and exciting yarn weaving real elements of the space program (past and present) in a tale fraught with intrigue, betrayal and heroism. About the Author: Raymond K.
