Atmosphere containment is waning with no hope of rescuing the occupants because the space shuttle vehicle is grounded and Russians cannot rescue them before the air runs out.The actors in this drama include the President of the United States, a power-hungry Secretary of Defense, Green Peace workers, and a cast of politically astute characters. Can the ever-ready and innovative Mike Sherridin and his close friend and colleague, retired engineer Jim Carverneau, fight both the elements of space and time as well as the complex political machinations that stand in the way of rescuing the stranded astronauts? This is a wild and exciting yarn weaving real elements of the space program (past and present) in a tale fraught with intrigue, betrayal and heroism. About the Author: Raymond K. Seymour is a recent retiree of General Electric where he spent 37 years as a design engineer in the Electrical Equipment Industry. During his career he was awarded over sixty-two U. S. Patents, three software copyrights and wrote a lecture series on Circuit Breaker Design. He studied engineering at Central Connecticut State University where he received his BS degree in Industrial Technology. In 2002 he retired and is now focusing on his writing with his first fictional suspense novel Apollo 13: The Reconstruction. Among his other skills are wood carving and pen and ink illustration work. He has three grown sons and lives with his wife Kathy in Connecticut.
