Introduction Theme: When we repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord of our lives all of our sins are forgiven. Therefore we must forgive others as we were forgiven. American it is time to wail unto the Lord. It is the Fall of 2005. We can quote Jeremiah 8:20 for ourselves, The harvest is past, the summer is gone and we are not saved. 9:21 For death has come up into our windows and entered our palaces, to cut off our children from without and the young men from the street. We have over two million displaced citizens. The death toll is rising daily. We are experiencing fires, winds, flood, earthquakes, rising prices and war. It is a fact we are not in control and God is not sleep. He is aware of all that happens on earth. If He is not causing disasters He is watching them happen without interfering. America it is time to start wailing to our God for mercy and grace for our land. USA citizens have been looking at each other for centuries now trying to place the blame for the hatred, sin and discord in the land. We know it is not our intent to spread hate, or to be in conflict with anyone. Yet we find that we have offensive thoughts and place blame when we see others being treated in what appears to be a fairer way then we, as a race are being treated. There was an affirmative action law in the colleges and some government jobs that allowed for other races to be given slots so they were sure to be included. The time came when those not allotted slots were offended because they found that they too where having difficulty getting into schools and higher paying employment. There came a cry from amongst those considered as privileged of reverse discrimination and the majority of USA citizens continue to war amongst themselves over opportunities. Somebody told some that because of their race they were the elite in this country. However there are people of all races struggling with poverty in this great country. Poverty generalizes across the color lines. We need to stop fighting each other, realize we have all been tricked, than we can forgive and be forgiven. Our country may be effective in keeping others from coming on her ground to do war, but we lack the ability to maintain peace among ourselves. Shall the assault of the elements against our shores bring unity in our covenant with Almighty God or shall our division continue to our own destruction? Now if this country is to survive we must unite and become truly one nation under God and in God we must trust. II Corinthians 2:5-12 5 But if any have caused grief, he hath not grieved me, but in part: that I may not overcharge you all. 6 Sufficient to such a man is this punishment, which was inflicted of many. 7 So that contrariwise ye ought rather to forgive him, and comfort him, lest perhaps such a one should be swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. 8 Wherefore I beseech you that ye would confirm your love toward him. 9 For to this end also did I write, that I might know the proof of you, whether ye be obedient in all things. 10 To whom ye forgive any thing, I forgive also: for if I forgave any thing, to whom I forgave it, for your sakes forgave I it in the person of Christ; 11 Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices. 12 Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ''s gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord, James 4 1 What causes wars, and what causes fighting among you? Is it not your passions that are at war in your members? 2 You desire and do not have; so you kill. And you covet and cannot obtain; so you fight and wage war. You do not have, because you do not ask. 3 You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions. 4 Unfaithful creatures! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. 5 Or do you suppose it is in vain that the scripture says, "He yearns jealously over the spirit which he has made to dwell in us"? 6 But He gives more grace; therefore it says, "God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble." 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you men of a double mind. 9 Be wretched and mourn and weep. Let your laughter be turned to mourning and your joy to dejection. 10 Humble yourselves before the Lord and he will exalt you. 11 Do not speak evil against one another, brethren. He that speaks evil against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. 12 There is one lawgiver and judge, He who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you that you judge your neighbor? 13 Come now, you who say, "Today or tomorrow we will go into such and such a town and spend a year there and trade and get gain"; 14 whereas you do not know about tomorrow. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes. 15 Instead you ought to say, "If the Lord wills, we shall live and we shall do this or that." 16 As it is, you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. 17 Whoever knows what is right to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin. The promoters of wars among us are the principalities operating in high places. There are unseen powers that are in positions of authority over the United States of America. This power does not have complete authority but has co-mingled with the authority ordained by God and rules jointly and is combative over control of the USA. The treaty was made in silence and only implied in the minds of the human rulers. It may be that no one has spoken out loud yet as to who is really *co in charged with man. Who is really behind all of this death, loss and destruction? Many ask over and over, how can a loving God, allow such tragedies on earth. The answer is clear; God will only take charge of what we invite Him to, that is until an appointed time when He will judge man. God has given man charge over the earth to rule and to take dominion. The first man, Adam gave Satan his authority when he sinned in the garden. Jesus the Messiah came and became our sacrifice for our sins and took back that authority from the devil and gave it back to man. Man is responsible for all of the activities that take place on earth. Man has to decide to resist the devil or not to resist him. Man is responsible for what he allows the devil to do on this earth. Man can only ask each other why they allow such awful tragedies to happen continuously on earth. There is always a core or carrier evil spirit influencing man for evil. He starts out by getting man to do a little evil and then encourages him to do a little more until he is desensitized to the evil deed and will go farther and father into the darkness sin promotes.
