In her inspirational book, "He Chose Me," author Katherine Kikivarakis-Laster shares how God has worked in her life-and how He can work in your life as well.Katherine Laster was born January 22, 1966 in Nassau, The Bahamas to a single mother, Martha Grant. Money and other resources were often scarce in her childhood years, but Katherine and her siblings always felt loved and cared for.After graduating from a public primary school, and through the sacrifice of her grandfather, she graduated from a private high school in Nassau, The Bahamas; the author attended various U.S. colleges. She graduated Summa Cum Laude in May, 1994 from Morgan State University, Baltimore, Maryland with a Masters Degree in Finance. She is the proud recipient of various honors including All American Scholar, Who's Who in American College Students, Highest Achievement Awards from Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and School of Business Management, MSU.Little did Katherine dream growing up in a single-parent home in The Bahamas, the path God had for her life. He had a divine purpose and plan for her future. She was destined to be an "over-comer."The book goes on to share her two failed marriages, and her ordeal with breast cancer. In the midst of all her storms, she was confident God was present and making no mistakes about her life. She never lost Hope or Faith in God despite her many trials. She gives God praise for taking her through these various tribulations triumphantly and conquering the enemy.The author provides a wonderful example for others as to how they, too, can achieve and be victorious against many odds-with God's help.Katherine now lives in Albany, Georgia and is a member of Sherwood Baptist Church. She has two wonderful sons, Kyhiel and Anthony, "Kylie."
