When Duke the duck was born, he was not born with beautiful white feathers and a bright shade of orange bill and feet. He was born with purple feet and purple bill. Duke had gray feathers instead of pretty white ones. But what was so unusual about him was no matter how hard he tried, he could not quack like the rest of his family did. Instead, he made the most awful-sounding noise and annoyed the other farm animals and his family. His parents even took him to see Dr. Webfeet, but the doctor just told him to be patient, that he would quack in time. His animal friends all tried to give Duke advice, and they tried to tell him what to do about his dilemma. But poor Duke was so very depressed and only continued with the awful noise that he always made when trying to quack. You will want to read this story, to find out how he finally begins to quack. The animal friends will amuse you, and this story will inspire you to just be yourself and have faith in God above to help you when there seems to be no hope for you at all. You will get joy out of reading this book about the little duck who couldn’t quack, and about the Duck family and the various animal friends and their antics.
