A poetic photo book by Thevibesetter. Harping off the old proverb one man's trash is another man's treasure. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so these photos could very much so be trash or seen as art to be treasured. So here's a short story on how I went from in front of the lens to behind the lens. I'm currently a student at Miami AD School for art direction and at the end of each quarter, we have a critique panel over all the assignments we did for our classes. I had a class called "Smartphonograpghy" that was about using your phone to create quality imagery. We were given various pictorial prompts for example taking portrait pics using different lighting techniques like rembrandt, edge, etc. We had to do architecture, pareidolia, and shit like that. Mind you I love being the muse and the subject in front of the camera not behind it. So I get to the panel which is complied of seasoned marketing agency people with high end industry positions. They review my work and ask me if I'm a photographer because my visual work stood out most to them. I was surprised like "huh I like being in front of the lens" I just did this shit for class. So days after the critique I marinated on their feedback and thought to myself maybe I'm holding back something I should let be. So I started to explore and challenged myself to take at least 1 picture a day. Committing Tuesdays and Thursdays to learn lightroom so I can edit what I captured.I didn't want to depend on people to show up to shoot. I needed a subject I can control that will always be there so I chose trash. Trash is everywhere all I gotta do is go out and explore and find "The shot". Along the way of crafting this photo series, I would show my photographer friends for feedback and it was always "yo this is dope" or "you gotta eye bro u should take more photography classes"So here I am today going PUBLIC and leaving the nest of things I was doing in secret. Trash never looked better now this book is your treasure.
