Description

Between 1948 and 2010, the average annual temperature in Canada increased by 1.6 *C. This increase is higher than in most other parts of the world. From 1901 to 2010, the average sea level rose at a rate of about 1.7 millimeters per year. However, during the last 17 of these years (1993 to 2010), the rate increased to about 3.2 millimeters per year. Between 2002 and 2011, over 215 billion tonnes of ice melted each year from the Greenland ice sheet.
