Description

Riding into town with pennies to his name after a venture to round up wild horses ends with his pard riddled with arrows and everything they owned in the hands of the Utes, Grady Mulvane cuts the figure of a saddlebum looking for a handout. But the sheriff of Bottle Springs is quick to spot the seasoned outdoorsman underneath, and has a proposition: work at a swing station for the local Concord line and keep his eyes and ears open for clues to the identities of the road agents who have been robbing the stages of their Wells Fargo gold.
