By 羅敏威合約法是現代商業社會一個十分重要的法律課題，與我們日常生活息息相關。香港中文大學的羅敏威博士，多年來參與有關合約法的教學工作，有感自香港回歸以來，坊間反映合約法最新發展的中文書並不多，遂編撰成此最新的《香港合約法》，為我們深入淺出介紹有關合約法的法律原則、實踐及應用。 本書共分六大部分。第一部分介紹香港現行的法律制度，第二部分細述如何訂立合約及與此相關的課題，第三部分詳釋合約內容及不同合約內容對合約各方的效力，第四部分主要探討可影響合約效力的因素，第五部分則交代合約會在什麼情況下被解除，最後一部分是討論違約補救措施和違約訴訟時限。 香港合約法沿自英國合約法，為方便讀者理解相關法律精神及判案原則，作者除引用英國的相關案例，也參用本地法律書籍及期刊和選引香港相關法庭案例為佐證，特別適合本地的法律工作者及學生使用。 在增訂版中，會述及《商品說明條例》及《個人資料（私隱）條例》等第一版未有述及之當時已實施的另一些與合約法有關之法例修訂內容。至於和合約法有關的勞工法、反歧視法及土地法之探討會有所補充，以使本書增訂版的內容更全面。在本書增訂版中也會描寫更多合約法案件裁決（特別是近數年來的合約法案件裁決）及和合約法有關案件裁決。
