This interactive book explores a new model of social work called SHARE. A key driver in developing the SHARE model was ensuring that the many voices of social work are heard, i.e., practitioners, service users and carers, experts by experience, managers, academics and students. To that end, the book contains the voices of more than 40 'social work stakeholders'. The SHARE model, as the book explores, aims at re-orientating social work back to a more emancipatory and shared position. The SHARE model can be applied in any social work (and indeed comparator) practice setting, as well as having relevance for practice education. The book is written in an engaging and highly accessible way, whilst ensuring that the issues covered are given the necessary depth of exploration. The book takes readers through the development of the model, exploring social work theory and learning theory, before exploring the five, both distinct, and connected components of the SHARE model: Seeing, Hearing, Action, Reading, Evaluation.
