Jodi Bennett has always dreamed of becoming an artist. Growing up at the family inn, The Sea Bird, in a coastal Georgia town has given her many scenes for her paintings. The inn is always filled with interesting guests, who begin to help Jodi see her paintings in a different light. Her little brother Jesse and the family dog play a big part in livening up all of their lives. Delicious meals and lots of humor are served by Sarah the cook. Jodi's dream of art school comes true in Atlanta when she learns about the art she loves. Here she also meets Dave Langley, whose love of photography impresses her. After tragedy strikes at the inn, a small boy becomes a long-remembered guest. Jodi realizes just what her paintings mean to her and to those who own them. Her efforts to "make a painting come alive" are definitely noticed by her viewers. Find out how her work travels and how its value isn't only monetary. She is puzzled when she receives a call from a former guest inviting her to an art showing in New York. Her venture into the sale of her work is bittersweet.
