Es geht dabei um den so genannten Jüngling vom Magdalensberg, die lebensgroße Bronzestatue eines nackten Jünglings, die jahrhundertelang für ein römisches Original gehalten wurde und sich inzwischen als Guss aus der Renaissance-Zeit herausgestellt hat. Djerassi, selbst ernsthafter Kunstsammler, reflektiert und ironisiert davon ausgehend den oft leidigen Kult, der heute um viele Kunstwerke getrieben wird. Tabus greift Djerassis Hauptthema auf, das Sexualverhalten im Zeitalter der technischen Reproduzierbarkeit, die bevorstehende Trennung von Sex und Fortpflanzung. Sex steht wie gewohnt für Liebe, Lust oder Neugier, während die Fortpflanzung zunehmend mittels "alternativer" Methoden unter dem Mikroskop stattfindet. Die tiefgreifenden soziokulturellen Veränderungen, die diese Vorgänge implizieren, stellt Djerassi, mehr denn je Agent Provocateur, in den Mittelpunkt seines neuesten Theaterstücks.
