An der Erzählung Gen 22 scheiden sich die Geister. Lange Zeit hatten die religionsgeschichtliche und typologische Deutung dieser Erzählung in der Exegese wie auch in Predigttexten einen gewissen Absolutheitsanspruch. Die Auslegung von Erhard Blum stellt in der Forschungsgeschichte zu Gen 22 einen Wendepunkt dar. In der Folge ergaben sich vor allem durch die Spätdatierung und die kanonische Exegese eine Vielzahl von Auslegungsmöglichkeiten, die in einer unüberschaubaren Fülle von exegetischer Literatur ihren Ausdruck findet. Ebenso wie in der Exegese ist auch in den Predigttexten eine Veränderung erkennbar, denn die Prediger*innen nutzen nun das ganze Spektrum an Auslegungsmöglichkeiten. Somit geraten die religionsgeschichtliche und typologische Deutung zunehmend in den Hintergrund. The narration of Genesis 22 is parting the ways. For a long time, the narration's religious-historical and typological reading in exegesis – just as in sermon texts – had a certain claim of absoluteness. Erhard Blum's exegesis constitutes a turning point in the history of research on Genesis 22. Subsequently, numerous possibilities of interpretation emerged due to the late dating of the text and the Canonical Exegesis which all found their expression in the vast abundance of exegetic literature. Just as in exegesis there is a visible change in the sermon texts as the preachers use the whole spectrum of interpretations. As a consequence, the religious-historical and typological reading fade into the background.
