Vorderhand sieht der Leser seinen beeindruckenden Führungsstil und seine großen Feldzüge. Doch die Autorin untersucht genauso Napoleons Eigenschaften hinter der Fassade des genialen Feldherren. Neigungen, Leidenschaften, Sorgen und Freuden, Fehler und Laster schaffen ein Bild von Napoleon,wie ihn nur wenige kennenlernen durften.
