Es sichtet die in den letzten Jahren haufiger werdenden Beitrage zu dieser Thematik - sei es in den Raumwissenschaften selbst oder auch in anderen Wissenschaftsbereichen -, bezieht sie aufeinander und macht auf diese Weise in der psychoanalytischen Literatur sonst kaum angesprochene Themenbereiche einem weiteren Leserkreis zuganglich. Dabei ist es faszinierend, wie pointierte psychoanalytische Perspektiven solcher neueren Arbeiten gangige geographisch/raumwissenschaftliche Erklarungen erganzen und neu konturieren. Angesprochen werden grundlegende psychogeographische Konstellationen wie territoriale Konflikte, Aggressivitat und Geschlechtergeographie (am Beispiel islamischer Gesellschaften), Trennungsangste und das lockende Dort als Determinanten geographischer Mobilitat (so am Beispiel US-amerikanischer Immigranten) sowie der mannliche und der weibliche Blick auf Landschaften und Raume."
