Eines Tages macht er mit seinem Freund Brugu beim Spielen in der alten Mühle einenseltsamen Fund: eine uralte Tontafel mit seltsamen Schriftzeichen. Sie bitten den zwielichtigen Antiquitäten-Händler Cirindor Cox um Hilfe. Dieser weiß um die Bedeutung der Tafel, sie verspricht unvorstellbare Macht – und die will er um jeden Preis besitzen. Den beiden Freunden bleibt nur die Flucht und so finden sie sich plötzlich in einer fremdartigen Welt voll skurriler Wesen und schrecklicher Gefahren wieder.
