Nejprve pracovala v nemocnici Royal London Hospital a nyní je hlavou oddělení klinické neurofyziologie a neurologie v National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, je také členkou skupiny specialistů sdružených kolem společnosti pro výzkum epilepsie – Epilepsy Society. Vypracovala odborná pojednání, v nichž se opírá o své zkušenosti s pacienty, kteří trpí psychogenními poruchami nebo se léčí na fyzické choroby, jako je epilepsie.
