Este libro es una apuesta por la afirmación frente a la negación, por la vida frente a la muerte, por el vital decir sí frente a toda moral de renuncia y de negación y con esta obra se abría para Nietzsche una nueva vida, libre de las ataduras institucionales, y libre también de las ataduras simbólicas que hasta ahora lo habían ligado a Wagner y el esteticismo, y a Schopenhauer y el pesimismo.
