El trabajo, dividido en nueve capítulos, ha sido coordinado por el doctor en Economía de la Universidad de Málaga e investigador del Centro de Estudios Andaluces, Óscar Marcenaro, y cuenta con la colaboración de la directora del Instituto Andaluz de la Mujer, Soledad Pérez Rodríguez; la catedrática de Historia Contemporánea, María Dolores Ramos; la doctora en Sociología, Mercedes Camarero; la profesora de la UPO y experta en género, Lina Gálvez; la especialista en análisis cuantitativo del bienestar con perspectiva de género, Mónica Domínguez; los doctores en Economía, Mauricio Matus y Paula Rodríguez; la catedrática de Derecho del Trabajo, Teresa Pérez del Río; el director general de Presupuestos de la Consejería de Hacienda y Administración Pública de la Junta de Andalucía, Buenaventura Aguilera; y la doctora en Sociología, Paula Cirujano.
