‘그리스도인을 위한 통독 주석 시리즈’는 목회자들의 전유물로 인식된 주석을 그리스도인 모두의 품에 돌려주기 위해 기획되었다. 전문적 지식은 부족하지만 성경공부를 인도하거나 성경을 깊이 읽고 싶은 독자들의 기다림 속에서 2년 만에 조재천 교수의 『히브리서』가 출간되었다. 『사무엘상』이 ‘법’을 뜻하는 옥색 표지를 채택했다면 『히브리서』는 ‘사랑’을 뜻하는 연분홍색 표지를 채택하여 디자인적으로 구약, 신약을 구별했다. ‘그리스도인을 위한 통독 주석 시리즈’는 뜻 있는 저자들의 합류로 앞으로도 계속 출간된다.
