Es por esta razón que el objetivo principal de esta obra, es familiarizar al estudiante de las escuelas de ingenierías técnicas y superiores con los métodos básicos del cálculo integral para su posterior aplicación. Al final este curso poseerá las herramientas suficientes para abordar el cálculo de las integrales que aparecen en las aplicaciones, solucionará probleas de aplicación a la ingeniería mediante la formulación de modelos matemáticos adecuados en términos de integrales, reforzando e interrelacionando los conceptos del cálculo diferencial con los del cálculo integral.
